Electric Central HeatingMPS electrical Contractors Ltd are proud installers of the Electrorad electrically powered radiator, do not confuse this unit with the oil filled type on sale from major chains, this is a quality piece of German engineering that is a direct replacement for gas fuelled radiators, ideal if you live in the countryside and do not have the benefit of gas. All units are come with a digital thermostat so you can set the temperature you require. Electric Central Heating from Electrorad - The accurate control of a central heating system is vital if low running costs and efficient room heating is to be achieved. In most ‘wet’ central heating systems the whole system is usually controlled by a single thermostat, usually positioned in a hallway or one room. Modern central heating systems must have thermostatic radiator valves on each radiator to help control the temperature in individual rooms. These are successful to a certain extent but cannot accurately maintain a desired room temperature. Their function is to choke the volume of water that would normally enter a radiator and as a result reduce the temperature of that radiator which limits the amount of heat entering the room. Motorised valves attached to a room thermostat will achieve a constant room temperature but these can be expensive to buy and install. Electrorad have a wide range of central heating controls available, thermostats that are integrated into the heater - analogue or digital with timing cotrol, mains signalling systems, thermostatic and time installations, radio controlled thermostats and/or timers to control a single heater or to control a whole house installation. Many people are concerned that should there be a loss of the electricity supply, then their electric central heating would cease to work. This of course is absolutely true. However , what many people do not realise is that ALL central heating systems are controlled by electricity. Therefore should there be a power cut, ALL central heating systems would be affected and cease to work. There would be no electricity supply to operate the electric thermostat that controls the boiler temperature and room thermostats and no electricity to power the electric water pump that circulates water around the system.
